I do not care what goes by in this life
just as long as I don't miss the red
If all else passes, I don't mind
as long as it's not that hue spread
Across the ocean, large and wandering
I wish to be those eyes that see
The world as it changes colors
from the yellows of the sunlight
To the oranges fading in between
I wish myself not to be
the one who sees green
Only as the one shade to be seen
Place my face in front this beautiful world
bright and shining, as if always new
Smiling like life was meant to be
a light and floating balloon
Keep careful to hold tight of it
wrap it round your tiny frail wrist
With all belief and hope
That it will not vanish too soon
