Line A Day Diary- Inspired by Telluride Museum

Friday, December 18th - Flew from New York at 6am to Denver to Durango arriving at noon; Went for coffee at Mobeus in Silverton at 1:10 and they had closed at 1; Went for coffee at Ouray Cafe in Ouray at 2:05 and they had closed at 2; Went for coffee at Mouses down the street and found the Scrap Cookie and left it in the shoppe; Went to see Shakespeare's Complete Works Abridged by Jebb, Buff, and Ashley.

Saturday, December 19th - Picked our Christmas Tree out at Schmidt Ranch! Drank Colorado Whiskey and listened to French music while sewing. Finished Across the Universe and stayed in cozy and warm.

Sunday, December 20th - Helped Dunkin, Anton, and Daryl build the structure for the winter solstice mine party bonfire. Lugged truckloads of wood out of the depths of the mine to create a 20 foot cottage with a pick up sticks chimney. Met Janelle, Brian's sister.

Monday, December 21st - Went into town to roam snowy Telluride. Still not a day of snow, only blue skies. MacGuire the duck followed Meghann and I home along Pacific street until a pack of dogs at the corner of Siam scared him into flight. Met Brian's mother, Ellen. Mine party blew my mind.

Tuesday, December 22nd - Learned to knit from Anne at the Knitting Shoppe and then went to Llama for chips and margs. First snow of my visit. Went to Telluride Pizza Kitchen with Brian's family, Dan Hanley, and Kim.

Wednesday, December 23rd - First trip up the mountain, saw a porcupine on Prospect Bowl. Dinner at Honga's with the telluride friend family and out to Fly Me to the Moon to play pinball, hula hoop, and foosball.

Thursday, December 24th - Snowboarding in the afternoon, almost frostbite on the toes. Fondue night! Wine, Kirshna, Swedish plum liqueur, Carolines, and cake from Vienna.

Friday, December 25th - Coffee, Presents, more Coffee, more presents, Brian's famous waffles, more presents, sitting around in wrapping paper all night. Broccoli soup. Glad to have Meg but missed family and home.

Saturday, December 26th - Telluride Museum, Ellen's lasagna; balderdash all night! Half a bottle of Powers.

Sunday, December 27th - Jetta through Doloras to Pagosa Springs. Jen Tuggle's baby shower in brand new beautiful mountain house. Sifted through 10 years of ATD and spent a night out in Pagosa experiencing small town charm. Slept in a real cozy bed.

Monday, December 28th - Drove back through Durango, Silverton, Ouray and Ridgway. Knitted a bunch and saw the ghost town that Silverton is: Closed. Ate Brian's famous Man Salad. Watched Bruno and The Church of Celebritology.

Tuesday, December 29th - Bathed for back and cleaned house to Michael Jackson on Pandora; saw screening of Bag It Up at the Telluride Public Library; delicious dinner party at Don Hannah's house with two great danes, George and Spooky. Chai spiced tea and Sequences.

Wednesday, December 30th - Finished my first scarf, back still hurting. Knitting with Ginger, blackout in Telluride during shower. Powers and candle light to bring the power back on. Honga's with Meg and Brian, Lloyd and Bridget when the lights return.

Thursday, December 31st - Snowboarding down gorgeous enchanted forrest and caught like a dog by John Kelly. Turned in to security guard Ted "Sled" Slater. Mine burn, powers and tacate, new year dance party at Don Hannah's without Don Hannah.

Friday, January 1st - Kate's Place in Ridgway; Orvis Hot Springs; Adobe Inn in Ridgway; Thunderdome! Master Blaster.

Saturday, January 2nd - Palindrome day! 0102.2010 dumped and down, telluride public library ken keyes, jr 'higher consciousness' picked me up. harmony and surrender...

Sunday, January 3rd - Last day in Telluride, most delicious breakfast ever, blueberry muffins at the butcher and the baker, duck crossing with phoenix and cassius, creepy bookstore in durango,  east meets southwest sushi extravaganza, fly to new york.

Monday, January 4th - Recovery day from flight. First C&C practice of the year. Final break-up.

Tuesday, January 5th - Sadness today. Fluid filled mind. C&C practice, drink at Galway Hooker w/jackie. Met new roomie, jackie. Bought a plane ticket to Aruba, Tina came over at night to plan the ruckus going amuck!

Wednesday, January 6th - Up today! Got work done. Sent package. Went out in the sun. Coached at Barrow St. Hot Yoga in Fort Greene. First SSS game @ Chelsea, played well!

Thursday, January 7th - Slept in with kitties. Evaluated exams all day. Sore from first work out in a month. Coached against St Lukes, lost 23-16. Every time we made a basket it was like their little happy heads were exploding. Favorite season so far.

Friday, January 8th - Aruba for the weekend. Writing in journal. Living a simpler, sunnier life.
                                      Arrived at 2, ocean, sun, shower outside, village, Iguana Joe's, Senor Froggies, Casino, won 40 bucks, walked around the beach singing RENT under the smile slivered moon, slept on a beach chair in my Venus top holding my winnings.

Saturday, January 9th - Awoke to the rising of the sun, swam, won beach volleyball, drinks and dinner at divi divi with the kitties, won 180 bucks at 'jack black', fell asleep next to nicky.

Sunday, January 10th - Woke at 9, on the beach sleeping all day until 2 to the airport, to NY.

Monday, January 11th - Went to Poly, lost Christina Chao for the semester, learned some spanish pronunciation, practice with C&C, soccer with SSS, BME with jackie, amanda and amy, out in the east village with amy, amanda and hubbie til 4, pool and foosball and stories and laughter.

Tuesday, January 12 - Slept in with Amy, went to breakfast at 1 at bagel buffet, coached best C&C basketball game yet, lost 10-15, hazel and nan scored, rachel scored a 3 pointer, bought the team pizza, came home and cleaned my loft.

Wednesday, January 13th - Learned some Spanish, coached Claire, Nell, Cam, Cesi, Odette, Zoe and Tiki, played against the Rovers and scored mucho, dallas BBQ with Rebecca, Becky, Rose, Heather and Chee, decided on going to Costa Rica.

Thursday, January 14th - Slept late again because I went to bed at 3, learned some more Spanish, el bano y el lavamana, coached c&c and watched the boys lose by 2 to Columbia Prep, Penny's been found after missing 4 days!

Friday, January 15th -
